This is the list of downloads required for a TeXnicCenter installation. Most users will only need the first download.

Installation Information for Updates: You can install newer versions of TeXnicCenter on top of an old version, without uninstalling that old version before. That way your settings from the previous version will not get lost during the update process.

1 TeXnicCenter Installer
Download the latest Setup if you want to use TeXnicCenter.
2 TeXnicCenter System Components Update
If you are using Windows prior to version ME/2000 you may get error messages like 'Cannot find XXX.DLL' when trying to start TeXnicCenter. Install this package in those cases. Read the release note to see which files are added to your system.
3 Microsoft Common Control Update
If you are using Windows 95 (without Internet Explorer >= 4.0), or Windows NT 4.0 (without SP1 or Internet Explorer >= 4.0), you must install this update.
4 Microsoft HTML Help Update
If you do not have installed Internet Explorer 4.0 or newer you will have to install this to use the TeXnicCenter help system.
